i went by the national library to check out the 100 icons exhibition, organised by the design society, before it closed in the evening. was interesting to see the development of logos in singapore over the decades. it was also interesting to see who were the original designers and who revamped the latest ones. it is kinda scary that most of the logo designers for government organisations are listed as “unknown”. not so important eh? i really like some of the logos, like the retro cathay one, and some others are just surprisingly, uhm, gross.

after that, i crossed over the iluma to have dinner at ebisboshi, yet another japanese street concept restaurant. decided to try it out after i saw the recommendation on 都市大发现. what i really like about ebisboshi is the huuugggeee variety of food available. more than any local japanese restaurant i know. and, the desserts are to die for. to top that off, they have an interesting scanning device to make your orders. you wouldn’t even need to wait for long before the piping hot food comes your way :) yeah, pretty good meal, i would say!
