wow. i finally finished updating my portfolio here on my site. took me a helluva long time to put everything together. almost stopped believing that i could complete it. poor photography skills = longer time on photoshop. but it is done. yayy. after this, i need to layout a subset of work for print so that they can be in time for the internship interviews.
another yayy for the day was my first french class. it was really rather amusing because the teacher walked right in and just kept speaking french continuously for at least 15 minutes. you should have seen our blur faces. but learning languages are never easy. the only way is the throw us into the deep end, and immerse in it as quickly as possible. it was the same when i took japanese in poly. after the first class, i realise how we have completely bastardised the french language by our pronounciation. take for example: jean-dominique ingres. i literally pronounced “in-gres” *embarrassed* while others pronounced “ong-grey”. i think if we said it in front of the french teacher, she would probably cringe to death. but it’s gonna be fun. i am excited for the next class!
